Foresight for Claude and any agent
Scan signals of change, build scenarios and write forecasts with the /foresight plugin for Claude Code. Or connect any MCP client to the published signal database, updated most days.
Each point is a sourced signal in the database. Signals stream toward the mainstream as they gain strength. Select one to read it.
Get started
In Claude Code
Install the plugin. You get the /foresight skill and the signal database in one step.
/plugin marketplace add ds1/foresight-plugin
/plugin install foresight@foresightThen reload plugins and type /foresight with a topic, like “the future of home energy storage”.
In any MCP client
The signal database is a public, read-only MCP server. No account or key.
https://fore.si/mcpIn Claude Desktop or claude.ai, add it as a custom connector. From a terminal:
claude mcp add foresight --transport http https://fore.si/mcpJSON config for Cursor, VS Code and others
{
"mcpServers": {
"foresight": { "type": "http", "url": "https://fore.si/mcp" }
}
}What you can ask
- What does the foresight database say about humanoid robots? Cite the signals.
- Which signals about AI agents are accelerating, and what’s the shadow side of each?
- What coverage gaps does foresight.agt see, and what should I scan next?
- Summarize the latest foresight scan.
| Tool | What it does |
|---|---|
overview | Totals, last update, strength mix, top domains and tags, recent scans |
search_signals | Find signals by text, domain, strength, tag, driver or date |
get_signal | One signal in full: source, direction, history, upside and shadow, connections |
list_drivers | The forces signals cluster into, strongest first |
get_driver | One driver with the signals that evidence it |
get_insights | Detected clusters, convergences, accelerations, contradictions and gaps |
list_scans | Dated research reports, newest first |
get_scan | One scan report in full |
What /foresight does in Claude Code
Pick a topic, how much back-and-forth you want, and one of nine modes. Every output traces its claims to sourced signals, weighs who wins and who loses, and ends with what to do differently today.
- Signal Scan
- What’s changing in a domain, clustered into driving forces
- Scenario
- Three or four genuinely different futures on a 2x2 of uncertainties
- Forecast
- One bold, evidence-based claim with implications and confidence
- Artifact
- A news story, product page or memo written from the future
- Implications
- Second- and third-order consequences of one change
- Challenge
- Pre-mortem, red team and wildcards for your plan
- Backcast
- A roadmap from the future you want back to first moves
- Investment Memo
- A market or company through a futures lens
- Historical Pattern
- Cycles and analogies that project forward
New to futures thinking? Choose the “New to this” style and it explains everything as it goes. Read the full guide.
How the database is built
An automated research pipeline runs a new scan most days. It favors peer-reviewed research, institutional data and quality journalism over marketing, and every signal carries a verifiable source. The same research feeds the articles at foresight.domains/insights.
Signals summarize third-party sources. Treat them as evidence to weigh, and follow the source before relying on a claim.
- EarlyFringe, a few instances
- EmergingSpreading, noticed by specialists
- AcceleratingRapid growth, attention building
- MainstreamWidely adopted
Check it’s really foresight.agt
foresight.agt is a name on AGT Registry v2. Its owner publishes a signed manifest naming this server as the agent’s endpoint. Look it up at agtnames.com, or install the agt plugin and ask Claude to resolve foresight.agt. A verified result means the wallet that owns the name signed it.
